So-You Hong
So-You Hong, born in Seoul, Korea, received bachelor’s degree in piano and master’s degree in collaborative piano from Yonsei University, where she entered as the head of her class on a scholarship. So-You Hong has appeared her career as a chamber pianist in duo recitals with violinist Soovin Kim, Soon Ik Lee, flutist Jean Ferrandis, cellist Sung-Won Yang and Young Song, among others and chamber music performances with numerous distinguished soloists. Also she has worked with eminent Korean musicians such as violinist Young-Uk Kim, Dong Suk Kang, cellist Young-Chang Cho as a class pianist. She has invited to the Great Mountains Music Festival; Musica in Collina Festival in Lapedona, Italy; Aomori Art Museum in Japan; Music Academy of West in Santa Barbara, USA; Arona Music Festival in Spain; Seoul Spring Music Festival and Seoul International Music Competition as the official collaborative pianist.
Jae Youn Yoo
Pianist Jae Youn Yoo won prizes at the Samick-Bechstein Piano Concours and the Eumyoun National Music Competition. She studied piano at the Yewon School, Seoul Arts High School, and Seoul National University College of Music. She then studied collaborative piano at the Korea National University of Arts and earned her master’s degree at the Manhattan School of Music. At that time, she won Arthur Balsam Duo Competition with Regi Papa. She has performed as studio pianist for many prestigious musicians including Kyung-hwa Chung, Marrion Feldman, David Geber, Patinka Kopec, Lucie Robert, Michael Parloff, and Linda Chesis, and served as a pianist for the Osaka International Music Competition and the International Tchaikovsky Competition for young musicians. Ms. Yoo is on the faculty of Ewha Women’s University and Korea National University of Arts. Formerly, she was on the faculty at Mokwon University.
