Seoul International Music Competition was established by Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Dong-A Ilbo, most prestigious national daily in Korea. The competition is held annually for the categories of piano, violin, and voice, one category for each competition, with the aim of promoting cultural exchanges among nations through music, and supporting talented young musicians from all over the world. The category for 2008 competition is piano and the event will take place in Seoul during the following dates:

Application Deadline: January 15, 2010 (Fri)
Notification of Acceptance: February 5, 2010 (Fri)
First Round: April 16 (Fri) ~ April 17 (Sat)
Second Round: April 19 (Mon) ~ April 20 (Tue)
Semifinal Round: April 22 (Thur)
Final Round: April 24 (Sat)
Awards Ceremony: April 24 (Sat)
