Seoul International Music Competition was established by Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Dong-A Ilbo, most prestigious national daily in Korea. The competition is held annually for the categories of piano, violin, and voice, one category for each competition, with the aim of promoting cultural exchanges among nations through music, and supporting talented young musicians from all over the world. The category for 2008 competition is piano and the event will take place in Seoul during the following dates:

Application Deadline: November 14, 2007(Wed)
Notification of Acceptance: January 14, 2008(Mon)
First Stage: April 15(Tue) ~ April 17(Thu)
Second Stage: April 19(Sat) ~ April 21(Mon)
Semifinal: April 23(Wed) ~ April 24(Thu)
Final: April 26(Sat) ~ April 27(Sun)
Ceremony of Awards: April 27(Sun)
