She holds a Bachelor\u2019s Degree from Seoul National University and a Master\u2019s Degree from the Peabody Institute. Ms. Kang finished a Doctorate degree from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and City University London, supported by the Guildhall Trust and the Leverhulme Trust.
\nJa Yeon\u2019s doctorate dissertation is on Schumann\u2019s late vocal and piano music and she recently finished translating Nancy Reich\u2019s \u300eClara Schumann\u300f in Korean.
\nPreviously, she was on the faculty of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama for the keyboard study and worked as a repetiteur at the National Opera Studio in London. Kang currently serves as a lecturer in the Collaborative Piano Department at the Sookmyung Women’s University and teaches piano literature at the University of Seoul. \nSince winning major international competitions at the age of ten, Ms Lee has appeared as a celebrated soloist and is in demand as a collaborative pianist in major
\nperformance venues throughout the United States, Europe and Korea. She has performed with such notable artists as concertmaster Martin Chalifour of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Glenn Dicterow, former concert master of the New York Philharmonic.
\nDr. Lee received degrees in solo piano performance from Korea National University of Arts and Indiana University, and a DMA in collaborative piano from University of Southern California.
\nShe served as an official pianist at The Primrose International Viola Competition, as well as a collaborative pianist at the Colburn School and USC Thornton School of Music in Los Angeles where she closely worked with Robert Lipsett and Ralph Kirshbaum.
