In November 1970, at the age of twenty five, he made his conducting debut with Korea National Symphony Orchestra. Park also studied in Salzburg and also he was a member of Br\u00fcckner Orchestra in Linz from 1975 until 1979. Discovering his strong talent and proclivity for conducting, he moved on to full-time studies at the renowned Vienna Hochschule for Music and Performing Arts. While there, Park studied under Professor Otmar Suitner, former Music Director of the East Berlin Opera House. In 1988, he made successful tour to Europe to celebrate the hosting of 88 Olympic Games in Seoul. He received highly acclaimed response both from the audience and the critics. In March 1991 Park was invited with the Seoul Junior Phil to the Centennial Festival of the Carnegie Hall. Park served as the Music Director and Conductor of the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra in 1992. He is currently a professor of the college of Music at the Hanyang University. In March of 1989, Mr. Hun-Joung Lim, the professor of Seoul National University was asked to take the position of the Music Director and the Conductor. Mr. Lim was a great contributing factor in leading Puchon Philharmonic to its recognition. Music Festival was a successful nationwide presentation. The Aspiration of the conductor and the members of the Orchestra made it possible to deliver about 30 presentations of Mozart piano concerto and Giselle Ballet performances. Also the ensembles were highly recognized. The Korean modern music repertoires presented by the Puchon Philharmonic Orchestra were academically generous additions. This especially aroused a sensation among the musicians and those interested. Puchon Philharmonic Orchestra has dedicated its performances to the highest quality of music to promote the Orchestra to its fullest and has committed to devote its knowledge and talent to the rising music of Korea.
