\nIn 2006, Ms. Hyun was presented in concert at the Manhattan School of Music\u2019s Greenfield Hall where she won the prestigious Artur Balsam Duo Competition with violinist Emily Popham.\u00a0 In 2008, she received the Best Accompanist Award at the 38th Corpus Christi International Competition.
\nShe has also performed in the 2008 Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert Series in Chicago with Amaury Coeytaux, which was broadcast live on radio and television. Another performance of note was her 2008 recital with violinist Joanna Frankel at the Phillips Collection in Washington DC.\u00a0 The Washington Post described Ms. Hyun\u2019s performance as \u201cpartner[ing] Frankel beautifully, astutely gauging dynamics, and knowing when to support and when to seize a commanding lead in the musicmaking.\u201d
\nMs. Hyun has been a staff accompanist at:\u00a0 The Manhattan School of Music; The Julliard School; The Quartet Program, Fredonia, New York; The Great Mountain Music Festival and School, Korea; Aldo Pariot International Cello Competition; Castello di Cennina Music Festiva, Italy; Euro Music Festival; and the Eumyoun Music Camp, Korea.
\nYoung Kyung Hyun began playing the piano at the age of three and is the first person to major in accompaniment as a full scholarship recipient at the Korean National University of Arts.\u00a0 She earned her Master\u2019s and Professional Studies Program degrees in accompaniment at the Manhattan School of Music under professor Heasook Rhee.

She\u2019s been appointed as an official accompanist for great festivals in Korea; Great Mountains Music Festival & Schools in 2007 and 2008, Isang Yun Competition 2007 (Tongyeong International Music Festival). Now she plays in various chamber music groups in Korea.

\nHaving won the First Place at the Sam-Ick Piano Concour and the Grand Prize at the Busan Music Competition, Ms. Lee\u2019s talent as a pianist was recognized at an early age.
\nMs. Lee\u2019s career as an ensemble artist unfolded while working as the appointed studio pianist for artists such as Namyun Kim, Berl Senofsky, Alice Schoenfeld, Eudice Shapiro and Gary Glaze.
\nIn addition to being appointed an official accompanist for the Second Dong-A International Music Competition, Ms. Lee played for international violin music competitions such as Yfran Neaman, Henryk Wieniawski, Yehudi Menuhin, Henry Marteau, Hannover and Sarasate.
\nAdditional engagements include being invited as an official ensemble pianist to Keum-Ho String Camp in Korea, Casalmaggiore Summer Music Festival in Italy, Keshet Eilon Violin Mastercourse in Israel and Ishikawa Music Academy in Japan.
